Year 5 Residential Trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon
Some of the year 5 children went to Stratford-Upon-Avon for their residential trip. They learned all about the Tudors, including William Shakespeare! The children were fantastic and learned so much.
They visited lots of local attractions, including the MAD Museum where they discovered exciting interactive mechanical art work! After this they went on a treasure hunt around the town. They also had a day visiting Shakespeare’s houses, including where he was born, Anne Hathaway’s cottage and Shakespeare’s new place. They had a relaxing river cruise where they learned even more about Shakespeare. On the final day they were immersed in Tudor Britain at Tudor World, learning all about the hard times the Tudors lived in.
They finished their visit off with a tour of Stratford-Upon-Avon, led by Shakespeare himself! During their time in Stratford they stayed at the YHA and really enjoyed sharing rooms with their friends, eating meals together (breakfast was delicious!) having a movie night, playing in the games room and running around outside.
Parents evening on 14th & 15th November. Please note school will close at 1:30pm for the children on Monday 14th November.
